J-1 Exchange Visa

Individuals coming to the US in an approved exchange program may qualify for a J-1 visa.  Frequently, J visas carry a two-year foreign residency requirement following the completion of the original exchange program.  It is possible in some cases to obtain a waiver of this requirement.  J visas cover Au Pair programs as well as scholars, professors, students and others.
